To coincide with Rememberance Sunday on the 10th November, we are showcasing our recent First World War project which was delivered to young people in Swansea via our Charitable Foundation, The Swansea and Neath Port Talbot Young People’s Foundation, with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The Heritage Lottery Fund’s “First World War, then and now” grant programme commemorates the 100th anniversary of the war by funding programmes which explore, conserve and share the heritage of the First World War.

Working with Bont Community Church, Bont Community Council, Clydach Primary School and Swansea museum we were thrilled that a total of 50 youngsters participated in the programme. They enjoyed learning about WW1 and how it impacted daily life for local people, undertaking creative activities and visiting Swansea Museum.

The project is showcased in a short film which really brings the topic to life and demonstrates how much the young people learned from and  enjoyed this project. Click here to view the film
