Celebrating Traineeship Success in Weymouth!

Olly, Trainee , was originally referred to our Weymouth centre by his Job Centre Work Coach.  He was interested in construction and gaining his CSCS card.  With further discussion, the team identified he would benefit hugely from the Traineeship programme too.

Olly confided that he had found gaining work difficult due to being affected by his mental health , anxiety and depression.

He started the Traineeship programme at the beginning of  March 2022.  He immediately started working through his Employability Award units, Maths and English at Level 2 and Digital Skills Level 1.  He was highly motivated and worked through exercises quickly to a good standard and completed work ready for his final exams and assessments.

Olly passed his Level 2 English and Maths on the 1^st attempt. and has since taken his Digital Skills Level 1 exam and is just awaiting marking and quality assurance.

As part of the Traineeship, Olly secured a work experience placement  at Dorset Trade Sills (A local construction training company) where he quickly became part of the team.

Traineeship Tutor, Tony said, “We had excellent reports from Olly’s placement and he has now completed the required seventy hours!”

“Olly has been a model student and a very likeable, motivated person. He will complete all aspects of the Traineeship and will finish on the 1^st July after just 16 weeks on the programme!”
