Our Newquay team have loved a busy summer season with lots of holiday makers in the town!
Now the summer is over, our Traineeship team are fully focused on supporting local young people have lost their summer season jobs, and those who have started 6th forms, college or Uni but not feeling settled as well as those who are just undecided on their future following their GCSE or A level results.
Every Monday 2pm-4pm, our Bank Street site will be hosting drop-in sessions for anyone who is wanting to know more about the Traineeship programme. It is open to anyone aged 16-24 or anyone who is supporting a young person in that age range.
No appointment necessary, you can just turn up!
Harry and Sarah, our fabulous Traineeship Tutors, will be on hand to provide information about the programme, answer any questions and even signpost towards other opportunities if the Traineeship isn’t the right route!
Sarah said “Traineeships work! As a Tutor I have a small group which gives me the time to get to know my learners and their interests individually. I can tailor course materials, resources and work experience placements to fit each person.”

What do our Trainees say?
“The Traineeship helped to advise me about future career choices.”
“The Traineeship has helped me build my confidence and try new things.”
“I didn’t ‘get on’ in school or at college. The Traineeship has given me a second chance at learning but in a more adult and individual environment. I am gaining qualifications and experience that will make it much easier to enter the world of work.”
