CSCS including CITB test and Green Card

CSCS stands for Construction Skills Certification Scheme and is the leading skills certification scheme within the UK construction industry. Since the 1990s the CSCS maintains a database of individuals working in the construction industry who are up to the required standards.

CSCS is a non-for-profit organisation set up by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) to raise standards within the construction industry.

To apply for a CSCS card in most cases you must pass the CTIB Health, Safety and Environment test within the previous two years.

Requirements:

Living in a Brighton & Hove, Swansea or Swindon postcode area.

For Brighton & Hove

• Be 19 years old or over at the start date of the course.
• Be unemployed and receive a mean tested state benefit or be employed and earn less than £18,525 gross annual salary.

For Swindon

Aged 15+ and be Unemployed or Economically Inactive (not in receipt of benefits)

For Swansea

Aged 25+ and be Unemployed or Economically Inactive (not in receipt of benefits)
