Eligibility for funded training courses
To be eligible to access our free, funded training courses you need to meet certain criteria. Our experienced teams will work with you to check your eligibility and ensure you are accessing the best possible course to meet your needs.
For Courses in Brighton:
Individuals must be 19+ years, a UK resident and either: unemployed or employed and earning less than £15, 737.00. (there are different criteria according to the course). Also, they must not hold a higher qualification in the same field than the course they are accessing. Our geographical area includes Brighton and Hove and the whole of the Gatwick Diamond area – including Crawley, Croydon, Reigate, Worthing, Lewes and Shoreham. Individuals need to supply us with Full name, Date of Birth and Postcode in order to check eligibility and access your learner record. All information you supply to us is treated in the strictest confidence.
Employed / Businesses:
To qualify, businesses must have 2-250 employees and be in one of the following sectors:
- Creative and digital
- Advanced manufacturing and engineering
- Health and life science
- Financial and business services
- Environmental technology
- Construction and the visitor economy (which also includes hospitality and entertainment services).
- Social care
We can perform a quick SIC code check with Companies house to confirm eligibility. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us to verify.
How to enrol
Once we have checked your eligibility (individuals and businesses) there are some forms to fill in – don’t worry though we will make this process as easy as possible! When you enrol with us we ask you to bring:
- Proof of ID (eg passport, driving license)
- If unemployed you will need to bring JSA book or letter from JCP/ if employed you will need to bring latest payslip or P60.
