The Skills for Young People project supports young people, aged 15-16 in Dorset upper schools, who are at risk of being not in education, employment or training (NEET). Working in partnership with schools, the programme focuses on those who are at risk of social exclusion and young people from marginalised communities.

A typical learner journey for young people consists of an individual learning plan with access to a range of learning activity, both accredited and non-accredited. As part of the programme young people take part in a creative photography project, with an opportunity to achieve the City and Guilds Level 1 Extended Award in Employability Skills.

Since May 2019 we have delivered programmes in Wey Valley School, Budmouth College, Poole High School, the Studio School and Atlantic Academy.

The programme provides the young people with a one-to-one key worker, along with information, advice and guidance on careers options.  contact Ian Ross on ian.ross@wrecltd.co.uk
